Local Non-Profit Searching for Production Coordinator

Position Summary

The Loop Lab (TLL) is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the needs of our growing Media Production Studio.

About The Loop Lab

TLL is a 501c3 non-profit organization located in Cambridge, MA. Our mission is to empower women and people of color to develop careers in the creative economy through job training and job placement. We help to sustain our mission by producing quality content to our clients and supporters through our Media Production Studio.

Who we think We Are Looking For…

We are looking for an outgoing and personable self-starter whose strengths are in education, multi-tasking, the digital media arts, and developing and coordinating systems/processes for an efficient workflow. They are passionate about workforce equity, and they will need to be open to working in our production studio. We are looking for someone who has a heavy career focus on equity, or the ability to bring that focus to the table while they are here. Qualifications:

Logistics & Operational support

  • Production calendaring, meeting scheduling, other administrative tasks
  • The tracking of equipment assignments
  • Tracking and communications about video projects through their lifecycle
  • Implementing systems to track content deliverables
  • Staying up-to-date with data management
  • Priority is ensuring that projects do not get lost in the pipeline
  • Some evening and weekend work will likely be necessary for this role

Communications

  • Participating in necessary calls and meetings with clients
  • Transferring meeting notes into project tracking docs
  • Communicating with clients/, proactive and knowledgeable, directing traffic as is needed
  • Implementing systems to track deliverables

Editorial Support

  • Providing feedback on projects
  • Parsing through interviews and creating timecode notes
  • Functioning as a producer on projects, as needed and as appropriate
  • Identify content needs per project, suggest changes depending on the scenario

Administrative support

  • Managing project throughput in the project management database (Asana)
  • Creating proposals
  • Familiarizing yourself with clients and their mission to help actualize their goals
  • Invoicing for projects and tracking of payment status
  • Ensuring deliverables are sent in a timely manner

Who We Think We Are Looking For…

Experience with:

  • Davinci Resolve/Pro Tools as primary post-production software tools; Adobe Premiere/Audition/CC as a 2nd preference
  • Editorial or scripting experience a plus
  • Familiar with DSLR/Cine/ENG on-location work; Experience with camera/lighting/audio equally in these environments is a plus
  • Experience with gimbals/Steadicam/Ready Rig/alternate camera rigging a plus
  • Streaming production experience; Wirecast is a plus, OBS as a 2nd preference
  • Dante/NDI familiarity a plus
  • Knowledge of G-Suite tools: Sheets/Docs/Drive
  • Familiarity with Asana (or online project management platforms) is a plus
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced production environment is a plus
  • Network storage and server-based post-production workflow familiarity is a plus

High School Diploma or GED; 1-3 years of production experience highly desirable; Previous experience with nonprofit or mission-based organizations desired, We are looking for an outgoing and personal early career self-starter whose strengths are in multi-tasking, being thorough, and working effectively in fast-paced environments. They are passionate about diversity in media, and have some experience with a professional-grade camera and audio equipment, and proficient with video and audio editing software and post-production techniques.
