To all a cappella groups: Start preparing yourselves for greatness. Local producer Sam Weisman’s hit reality show, “The Sing-Off,’’ is coming back to NBC, and casting begins next month.

For those who don’t remember, the show features a cappella groups from all over competing for a cash prize and a record deal. The first run of the program — which was hosted by former boy bander Nick Lacheyand judged by Ben Folds, Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, and Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman — featured a local group, the Tufts University Beelzebubs.

The ’Bubs were the only college act in the competition and made it all the way to the finals, but lost to a group from Puerto Rico named Nota. According to the show’s casting website — www.singoffcasting.com — you can get audition information by calling a “Sing-Off’’ hot line.
