The Massachusetts Film Office (MFO) is the state agency that markets the Commonwealth as a location for feature films and television projects. Recent films the MFO worked on include Little Women, Knives Out and Free Guy. The MFO works within the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT).

Each semester, our office will require 1-3 interns that will assist the MFO in film related projects. These candidates ideally should be studying film and television production and have significant experience in filmmaking.

Duties may include:

    • Location breakdown of feature film and television scripts
    • Updating media and film industry databases
    • Fulfilling location photography requests for potential productions
    • Phone support
    • Assist MFO staff with special projects

Internships are for school credit ONLY and MUST be confirmed with proper paperwork from an accredited college/university. The internship is unpaid and the candidate must work at least 15 hours per week. Typically our internships are for an entire semester. Interviews for this position must be done in person.
