Fenway Park right on the ‘moneyball’

Fenway Park will get the Tinseltown treatment once again when Bennett Miller’s “Moneyball” flick films at the old ballyard Oct. 4-6.

“Moneyball,” which stars Brad Pitt, is based on Michael Lewis’ bestseller about Oakland Athletics GM Billy Beane, who built a winning team with now- Red Sox stats man Bill James, computer analytics and very little cash.

Pitt, who filmed for many weeks at the Coliseum in Oakland and Dodgers Stadium in L.A. this summer, plays Beane. But it’s unclear if he will make the trip to Boston. (Fingers crossed.)

However, a couple of his co-stars are expected to make the East Coast road trip, including Philip Seymour Hoffman who plays A’s manager Art Howe and Chris Pratt of “Parks & Recreation” who is cast as first basemen Scott Hatteberg .

No word if Jonah Hill, who plays Beane’s data-driven assistant Paul Brand (the real Paul DePodesta hated his portrayal in the script), will make the faux baseball scene.

The three-day shoot is only the second big-budget flick to film in Boston this season. But there are a few signs that the Tinseltown drought may be ending.

Location scouts for the new Katherine Heigl flick have been scouring the Bay State for her new romance-drama, “Adaline.”

Word is, Heigl of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “27 Dresses” fame is expected to head to the Hub this spring to film the movie about a gal who doesn’t age. Well, lucky her!

“Fool’s Gold” director Andy Tennant is set to shoot the flick, which takes place at the turn of the century. It’s the story of a young woman, played by Heigl, caught in an accident that renders her immortal in the early 1900s. After years of a solitary life, she meets a guy and has to deal with the whole living-forever thing.

Haverhill rocker Rob Zombie, who moonlights as a director, will shoot “The Lords of Salem,” a flick based on his song about the Salem witch trials. The film is produced by Alliance Films and Haunted Films, the company run by the “Paranormal Activity” team of Jason Blum, Steven Schneider and Oren Peli .
