14TH ANNUAL FILMS AT THE GATE FESTIVAL AUG. 23 – AUG. 25, 2019

Join the Asian Community Development Corporation (ACDC) and the Chinatown community for
the 14th annual Films at the Gate Festival!

Located at the Chinatown Gate, the festival runs for three evenings from
Friday, August 23rd to Sunday, August 25th,
with games and activities including face painting for children,
starting at 5:30PM and the feature film starting at 8:00PM.

Pamela Tom, the award-winning filmmaker who spent 17 years making Tyrus, will be a special guest at Friday night’s screening. Tyrus, an inspiring documentary about a Chinese American immigrant whose artwork would influence the aesthetic of classic films including Disney’s Bambi and Rebel Without a Cause.

Saturday night’s film, Little Big Soldier, will feature the much-loved Jackie Chan. Sunday’s feature will be Big Brother, starring Chinatown native and international film star Donnie Yen, with special guest speaker, Donnie Yen’s father, Klyster Yen who will introduce the film.
