Film crews were on the South Shore shooting a movie with Academy Award-nominated actress Amy Adams.
Crowds gathered outside The Jetty, a restaurant in Marshfield, on Friday morning, hoping to get a glimpse of the action as police detail ushered along cars at 278 Ocean St.
In “At the Sea,” Adams stars as Laura, a woman who goes to her family’s seaside vacation home following rehab. There, she must move on from a career that was embedded with her identity.
Playing opposite Adams will be Australian actor Murray Bartlett (“The White Lotus,” “The Last of Us”). The film also features Brett Goldstein (“Ted Lasso”), Chloe East (“The Fablemans”), Daniel Levy (“Schitt’s Creek”), Jenny Slate (“Marcel the Shell with Shoes On”) and Rainn Wilson (“The Office”).
The married director-writer pair Kornel Mundruczó and Kata Wéber are known for their work on “Pieces of a Woman.”
Adams also filmed “American Hustle” and “The Fighter” in Massachusetts.
This is the first time The Jetty served as a movie set.
