MCI Cedar Junction – Formerly known as MCI-Walpole, was a men’s maximum security prison under the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Department of Correction. It was opened in 1956 to replace Charlestown State Prison, the oldest prison in the nation at that time. The facility is completely empty and available for filming.
MCI Concord -The Northeastern Correctional Center (NECC) is a minimum security/pre -release state prison in Massachusetts that opened in 1932 and closed in 2024. The NECC sits on 300 acres of farmland. Management of the facility is handled by the Massachusetts Department of Correction. Management will be turned over to the Dept. of Capital Asset Management in July of 2025.
