(NECN) – These days, big blockbusters aren’t just reserved for the west coast. In fact, one Massachusetts film studio is working on bringing a little Hollywood to the east. Plymouth Rock Studios has unveiled the new Hollywood East sign. The studio has been given approval to use the iconic sign by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Studio officials say Massachusetts is now officially known as Hollywood East and that could be an economic windfall. Plymouth Rock Studios hopes to be open for business by Christmas 2010.
