Zendaya lookalikes and extras needed for tennis movie, ‘Challengers,’ slated to film in Boston in May

Have you or anyone you know ever been mistaken for Zendaya? Now is the chance to be cast as a stand-in for the critically acclaimed actress in the upcoming tennis movie “Challengers,” set to begin filming in Boston in May.

CP Casting, a Boston-based casting agency and acting studio, is looking for a Zendaya lookalike as well as men, women and children of any ethnicity to play extras in the upcoming tennis movie.

Anyone interested in being cast as a stand-in for Zendaya can send their applications and headshots here. People looking to be cast as any of the umpires, coaches and tennis player extras needed for the movie can send their material here. The casting positions will be paid, the recruiting pool is also restricted to New England.

CP Casting said they’re also searching for experienced Sports Physiotherapists and Sports Nutritionists, applications for this position are available here.

All casting roles will be paid an undisclosed amount.

There is no set deadline for casting applications, however, filming is slated to begin on May 5 and finish on June 24.

The CP Casting listing refers to “Challengers” by its working title “Tire Town.” The upcoming tennis movie will be directed by Luca Guadagnino, most notably known for the 2017 Timothée Chalamet film, “Call Me By Your Name.”

According to Variety, “Challengers” is a romantic drama about the competitive world of professional Tennis, in which tennis player-turned-coach Tashi (played by Zendaya) trains her husband Art (played by Mike Faist) to be a Grand Slam champion.
