When Louisa May Alcott sat down at the small, wooden “shelf desk” her father built especially for her in her bedroom at Orchard House in Concord, she probably devoured a few crisp apples as she feverishly penned her novel, “Little Women.”

In a new behind-the-scenes featurette, which EW can exclusively debut, cast members Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, and more gush about working with director Greta Gerwig and the bonds they formed on set. The film has received rave reviews in advance of its Christmas Day release, and is expected to be a strong awards contender.

Devoted fans of Louisa May Alcott’s classic story will also catch several second-long glimpses of its most classic scenes, from young Amy (Florence Pugh) falling through the ice to the March sisters bickering on Christmas Day.

In Made in Mass, “Free Guy,” a bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game, decides to become the hero of his own story…one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way…before it is too late.

The 77th Golden Globe Awards will be held on Jan. 5, 2020, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Ricky Gervais will host the ceremony.

14th Annual Films at the Gate Festival, will take place this August 23rd thru August 25th. Presented by the Asian Community Development Corporation (ACDC), the Films at the Gate, celebrates Asian culture in Boston with screenings of iconic films created by Asian filmmakers.
